Overall I would give John Adams an A, because he had a high education at the time graduating from Harvard and becoming a lawyer. Also John Adams was on of the most influential founding fathers of the United States.
Adams played a key role when he convinced Congress in adopting the Declaration of Independence. While in office Adams passed the Alien and Sedition Acts.
During the early years of his life John Adams went to Harvard at the age of sixteen, once out of college in 1755 Adams went to teach at Worcester. In 1765 while the stamp tax was being placed on the colonists Adams arrived in England where four anonymous articles to the London Chronicle.
In 1770 when the Boston massacre happened the British soldiers asked Adams if he would defend them in the case. Adams accepted six of the soldiers were acquitted unfortunately the two soldiers that fired shots into the crowd were charged with murder but were convicted only of manslaughter.
Massachusetts sent Adams to the first and second continental congress,
while there several congress turned towards Adams for advice on the new government. In office Adams followed Washington and avoided the French and the British war. Adams appointed series of judges close to the end of his term however most of them were unseated at the time when Jefferson was in office however john Marshall stayed appointed as the Chief Justice of the United States representing the lasting influences of the Federalists. He died on July 4th and on the same day Thomas Jefferson died as well.
